Every fraternity and sorority here at the University of Iowa has their own charity or organization that they sponsor.  Each chapter has creative and fun ways of raising funds for the designated charity.  Sigma Nu's chosen organization is the Holden Comprehensive Center for Testicular Cancer. 

In April, our chapter welcomes the spring with a kickball tournament among the sororities to raise funds.  We chose this event because as our T-shirts from Kickball 2007 say "Kick Balls to Save Balls". 

The Holden Cancer Center is Iowa's only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center.  NCI-designated cancer centers are recognized as the leaders in developing new approaches to cancer prevention and cancer care, conducting leading edge research and educating the public about cancer.  Additional information can be found at their website.
